The SolidView/Pro CAD interfaces are being updated on a continuous basis.
SolidView/Pro's AutoUpdate feature will normally ensure that your copy
of SolidView/Pro always includes the latest version of the CAD interfaces
you have licensed. To manually check for updates, please visit www.soldiview.com
or select Help | Web Check for updates in SolidView.
February 2007: Catia V5 3D Interface
The SolidView/Pro Catia V5 interface is a new SolidView/Pro option that
allows for the direct viewing and measuring of 3D Catia V5 data. The SolidView/Pro
Catia V5 interface provides:
- Support for Catia V5 ( from R7 to R17 ) 3D Parts
( .CATPart ) and Assemblies (.CATProduct) into SolidView/Pro
- No CATIA V5 license required.
To use the new Catia V5 interface, you must download
and install Catia
V5 and then obtain a new program
key.
October 2006: New Granite IGES Interface
The SolidView/Pro IGES interface is a new IGES import module build on
PTC's GRANITE Interoperability Kernel. Granite IGES is only available
for SolidView/Pro V2006 and SolidView/Pro RP V2006. Granite IGES includes
SolidView's original IGES-VDA interface. The Granite IGES interfaces supports:
- IGES Version 6 surfaces and solids
- IGES Assemblies
- Colors
To use the new Granite IGES interface, you must download
and install Granite
IGES and then obtain a new program
key.
Since the existing IGES interface is imbedded in SolidView/Pro,
you must select "IGES by Granite" from the SolidView/Pro File
Open dialog to ensure that the Granite IGES interface is used. If you
just double-click on an IGES file, it will default to the internal IGES
interface. An option to disable the internal IGES interface will be added
to SolidView/Pro next time it is updated.
